Meet Our Hosts For The 7th EMY Africa Awards Nomination Announcement

7th annual EMY Africa Awards nominations announcement hosts

Renowned actress, TV presenter, and music writer, Nana Ama McBrown, will co-host the 7th EMY Africa Awards nominations announcement with another distinguished Ghanaian media personality, Prince Moses Ofori Atta.

Prince Moses Ofori-Atta, who is the General Manager of Asaase Radio will combine his extensive experience with McBrown, who is affectionately known as Ghana’s screen Empress for this much-anticipated show.

The two will host the prestigious EMY Awards nomination announcement for the 7th EMY Africa Awards on Saturday, 6th August 2022 which will be broadcast live on Joy Prime on DSTV channel 281, Joy 99.7 FM, Akwaaba Magic, and Akwaaba Magic Abusua on DSTV channels 150 and 149 respectively. It will also stream live on YouTube via the EMY Africa network.

The 7th edition spans categories, such as; Man of the Year, Magnate Award, Humanitarian Award, Young Achiever Award, Lifetime Achievement Award, Diasporan Award, Continental Icon Awards, The Technology Award, Woman of the Year, The Guardian Award, Health Award, and the Agriculture Award. Other competitive categories include Man of the Year Music, Discovery of the Year, Actor of the Year, and Designer of the Year.

Commenting on the choice of hosts, Executive Director of EMY Africa, Daniel Kojo Soboh said, “the experience of Nana Ama and Prince Moses in what they do in relation to the award is unrivaled. EMY Africa wants hosts who can speak to our niche audience and connect well with them, hence the choice for the two illustrious personalities as hosts”.

As one of West Africa’s biggest award events, EMY Africa Awards have honored many great personalities. Some of the previous winners include former President of Ghana, John Agyekum Kufuor, Tony Elumelo (Founder & CEO, United Bank of Africa), Togbe Afede XIV (President, African World Airlines), His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu (Chief Iman of Ghana), Sir Sam Jonah (CEO, Jonah Capital), Abedi Pele (Ghanaian football legend), Azumah Nelson (boxing legend), Freddy Meiwey (Ivorian music legend).

Others include Marufatu Abiola Bawuah (Regional CEO for UBA, West Africa), Patricia Obo-Nai (CEO, Vodafone Ghana), Dr. Daniel McKorley (CEO, McDan Shipping), to name a few.
